Friday, July 7, 2006
Shane Hicke has been invited to
coach at the 2006 USA Hockey Select 14 Player Development Camp in
Rochester, NY, July 15 to 21.
Each summer, USA Hockey hosts its
annual Select series of Player Development Camps, which play host to
and provide both on- and off-ice instruction for the best
teenage players from around the country. This year's editions now
feature fully drafted teams (previous years featured various
degrees of district representation).
The majority of the coaches at the
camp are college coaches and the players have the opportunity to
broaden their experience both from the great coaching knowledge and
the higher level of competition.
The main purpose of the camp is
for the players to showcase their talents to scouts from youth,
Junior and college levels, and to improve both their individual and
team skills. The players also attend presentations regarding various
aspects of the sport.
